Consider yourselves warned

Postby Jim the Moron » Tue Feb 14, 2012 10:06 pm

Azerbaijan, Georgia, India, and as of today, Thailand. Kaveh Afrasiabi continues to prove himself worthy of his status as a spokesman for the degenerate mouth-breathing reactionary Islamic government now in control of Iran.
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/NB15Ak04.html

". . . the news of the twin incidents in Tblisi and New Delhi will likely serve as a warning sign that it could be witness to similar, if not worse, troubles threatening the country's peace and tranquility if it continues to favor Iran's adversaries." This is Afrasiabi at his primitive best - threatening with death and destruction any and all sovereign nations who dare support Israel, the US, etc.

Afrasiabi needs to have a long, serious talk with the Iranians charged with implementing terrorist attacks on folks residing in countries that continue to support Israeli and American interests. A better quality of terrorist is required if disruption of a particular "country's peace and tranquility" is to be achieved.

Cases in point. The mouth-breather who stuck the bomb on the car in India put it on the side opposite the gas tank. And the Iranian clowns in Thailand first managed to blow a hole in the roof of the building where they were putting together bombs, and then, as they fled, one of them threw a grenade at approaching police. Said grenade hit an object, bounced back, and blew the legs off the perpetrator.

All of this will give pause to any Thais and Indians who may have been inclined to cut some slack to the Persians.

Sadly, the Iranian - Thai Cultural Week has just come to an end.

http://www.cicc.chula.ac.th/en/news-eve ... -thai.html

No doubt all the artistic displays and such were well received by the Thai public. But without a doubt the real show-stopper was the Persian version of the old 3 Stooges act where they blow a hole through their abode while bomb-making and then blow off a pair of perpetrator legs with a rebounding grenade.

We now have to wait, with much anticipation, what the Persians will offer up at next year's event.

Iran muscles in on Azerbaijan

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Central_Asia/NC07Ag01.html - Robert M Cutler

Please keep in mind that it isn't just Israel that faces the wrath of the saber-rattling Persians. As Afrasiabi is fond of pointing out, Iran stands at the ready to punish any and all West Asian nations who would dare to behave in a civilized manner.

"iran's legal right to attack Israel" - Kaveh L Afrasiabi
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/NC14Ak01.html

Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.

Heck, if the US can unilaterally declare that they are pursuing "legal" war, why not Iran? "According to several Tehran political analysts specializing on Iran's foreign affairs," Iran can damn well strike Israel with impunity. After all, Ahmadinejad has declared that Israel must be destroyed. Now Iran has the legal footing to carry out his wishes.

Spurred on by this new development, Jim the Moron decided to conduct his own in-depth inquiry. He found that, according to several Tel Aviv political analysts specializing on Israel's foreign affairs, Israel can damn well strike Iran with impunity.

So there you have it, all you students of international law.

And you all thought Kaveh was just expressing his own hopes and dreams of what should be done about any nation that should "favor Iran's adversaries."

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/03/ ... 3820120314

When Afrasiabi says Persians stand ready to threaten a "country's peace and tranquility if it continues to favor Iran's adversaries," he's not just whistling dixie. As far as I can determine, Kaveh Afrasiabi is the only Atol correspondent openly representing a particular government's eagerness to deploy terrorists in efforts to disrupt the "peace and tranquility" of other nations.

"Baku grants Israel use of its air bases"
http://www.jpost.com/IranianThreat/News ... ?id=263894

In what appears to be a direct response to Kaveh Afrasiabi's threat to disturb Azerbaijan's "peace and tranquility if it continues to favor Iran's adversaries," Baku is allowing one of Iran's adversaries - Israel - use of its airfields. It appears that Azerbaijanians don't wish to have their peace and tranquility disturbed by war-mongering Persian religious fundamentalists. Sorry about that, Afrasiabi.

"Iran hopes for socialist victory" - Kaveh Afrasiabi
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/NE05Ak01.html

Afrasiabi favors us with the warning from a "Tehran University political science professor" that a Hollande victory would "spell trouble for Israel." Guess Afrasiabi is counting on some anti-Semitic lefties being even more anti-Semitic than some righties. This alleged professor keeps making appearances in Afrasiabi's columns. Wouldn't be surprised to learn that the professor only exists in KA's mind. Someone should tell Afrasiabi that civilized behavior, or the lack thereof (such as with racism), is not an exclusive feature of either leftist or rightist governments.

As the votes are being tallied in France, we have it from Afrasiabi that Americans "may be influenced against the right-wing Romney by the French example." Such a totally ludicrous statement can only come from someone completely blind to the truth that the political opinions of most Americans are not shaped by any sort of pandering to European sensibilities. Picture, if you will, a chance meeting on Main Street, USA -

Hey, John, did you see that Hollande won in France?"
"Nope. Guess I'm going to have to vote for Obama then. How about you, Joe?"
"Not me. As long as Merkel heads up Germany, I'm going with Romney."

"Iran targeted Americans, Jews in Azerbaijan"
http://www.jpost.com/DiplomacyAndPoliti ... ?id=271657

See, and you thought Afrasiabi was just blowing smoke when he stated that Persian terrorists will be dispatched to disturb any "country's peace and tranquility" that would dare to ally itself with Israel or the US. Just ask the folks in India, Georgia, and Thailand if this was just an idle threat.

But, as befits a news organization which is obviously not adverse to allowing the full range of opinion, why shouldn't Atol permit a spokesman for Iran to promote Iranian terrorist activity? After all, "peace and tranquility" aren't everything in life, as fundamentalist Islam - the "culture of death" - demonstrates daily.

"US complicit in Israel war plans for Iran" - Kaveh L. Afrasiabi
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Global_Eco ... 5Dj03.html

Afrasiabi points out what everyone knows - that US foreign policy is contradictory both in terms of substance and representation, and has been for decades. He is pleased to reiterate the Iranian position that they would attack US interests if Israel should strike Iranian nuclear facilities. Fair warning. One thing US foreign policy is consistent about - US retaliation to attacks almost inevitably leads to the destruction of the attacker. Fair warning.

Afrasiabi refers yet again to his ubiquitous "Tehran political science professor" (in reality, Afrasiabi himself) regarding Saddam's chemical weapons, making no mention of Assad's. Is there any doubt that Hezbollah would use those against Israel? And that such use would please Persian leadership?

"Need for new US-Iran dialogue" (!!) About what? Has not Iran's leadership made its stance on Israel perfectly clear? Pledges to destroy Israel are announced almost daily. The US may be represented by blundering diplomacy, but Afrasiabi may rest assured that Americans will forever support civilized folks such as the Israelis over the primitive creepy barbaric Islamic fundamentalist theocracy that is Iran.

"Canada acting under Israeli, British influence - Tehran"
http://in.reuters.com/article/2012/09/0 ... 8720120908

Fair warning, Iceheads. The Persians are plotting to launch an attack on Canadian interests somewhere, perhaps in the form of attempted bombings by teams of buffoons as per their glorious attacks in India and Thailand.

The Canadians are to be congratulated for their preemptive action, sparing their embassy in Tehran the indignities brought down on the American and British embassies there by hoards of barbaric street Persians.

"Canada appeases Israel on Iran"
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Global_Eco ... 1Dj02.html

Afrasiabi is shocked that Canada continues to align itself with civilized nations in its opposition to the terrorist-spawning Iranian leadership.

Afrasiabi advises his readership that the Canadian closure of its embassy in Iran "clearly sets a new low standard for severing diplomatic relations." Wrong. Iran "clearly" set the standard when it turned loose its street warriors on the former US embassy in Tehran, trashing the facility and kidnapping the staff there. Canada merely took steps to ensure such a barbaric act would not be perpetrated upon their embassy staff.

To prop up his illogical twaddle, Afrasiabi enlists yet again the support of "a Tehran University political science professor." This fictional being may be relied upon to parrot Afrasiabi's attacks on those who oppose fundamentalist Islamic barbarism.

The civilized world needs to pay closer attention to the example set by Canada for the protection of their diplomats. No sooner did Canada close down its diplomatic facilities in Iran then primitive Muslims elsewhere in the region invaded embassies - looting and burning, and savagely killing when they could. The Canadians preempted this happening to them in Iran, much to the chagrin of Kaveh Afrasiabi (see posts above).

Nations opposed to barbarism should consider closing all of their diplomatic facilities in Islamic lands. This won't prevent them from ordering up oil, sand, and any other natural resources bestowed upon Muslims by their ever-beneficent Allah. After all, Alexander Graham Bell's pioneering technology - the "telephone" - and Albert Arnold Gore, Jr.'s "internet" - can take the place of face-to-face contacts with oil potentates who only wish to slit the throats of infidels at the first opportunity.

"Gaza war may strengthen Iran's hand"
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/NK29Ak01.html

In Afrasiabi's eyes, there has never been an event that didn't "strengthen Iran's hand." Now he has it that somehow the truce arranged by the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood government, supported by the same interests that support the MB in the Syrian uprising, is in Iran's interest. But fortunately for Afrasiabi, he retains the support of that shadowy "Tehran University political science professor" in his declaration of Iran's "victory" over Israel.

Yet another warning, Afrasiabi-style -
". . . it is a given that Tehran and Moscow will do all they can to prevent Assad's demise"
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/NL22Ak05.html

It is of course only natural that a known supporter of barbarism (Afrasiabi) would be keen to promote the survival of the butcher of Damascus. But there are others hesitant on removing Assad for reasons not akin to Afrasiabi's primitive bloodlust.

"Looking Past Assad" - Volker Perthes
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/05/opini ... -home&_r=0

Quite naturally civilized folks must be concerned for the security of religious and ethnic minorities in Islamic lands. After all, we have the examples of mistreatment and worse of the Coptics, the Kurds, the Jews, etc. But with or without Assad, Mursi, and the like, there is really no long-range hope for these minorities outside of establishing homelands. The Jews have done just that, and the Kurds are doing their best to. Being left to the tender mercies of mouth-breathing Islamic fundamentalists is not conducive to survival.

Well, come to think of it the United States seems to have a long record of supporting some rather unsavory regimes abroad when it has suited its interests to do so.

Which US president said " he might be a ruthless dictator but the point is he is our dictator".

Sauce for the American goose is also surely sauce for the Iranian gander?

Jim, the important thing is that the standard by which all nations are measured, Australia, remains unbesmirched. I think if you work that in to every post, you'll be fine.

As it happens, neverfail, I participate on the Atol forum, and read Atol's sometimes quite provocative articles, precisely because of the focus on Asian matters. I suppose if I wanted to discuss US (or UK, or German, or Argentinian) foreign policy blunders, I would join appropriate forums (which abound) to do so. But I don't. The fact that the US and practically everyone else have entered into alliances with shady outfits is readily acknowledged. But knowing that won't prevent me from being critical of what I perceive to be wrong elsewhere.

Heck, CD, you're messing with my plans. I was about to besmirch Australia with a comment on the ungodly treatment perpetrated on wombats by gangs of knuckle-dragging Aussie youths. Especially disgusting are the indignities performed on lone female wombats by these youths after nights of consuming liters of Australian port. But, because of your advise, I've scrapped that topic. The world will never know.
