I guess those Asian politicians in post-communist CA countries are going absolutely brazen! Uzbekistan is surely a vital country in view of the NATO mission in Afghanistan. Still there are some standards and limits they should stick to. Why doesn't Uzbekistan president Karimov bother to do this, I wonder?
When London rejected his daughter Gulnara as the Uzbekistan ambassador to Great Britain, Karimov threatened to refuse NATO request for help in military withdrawal from Afghanistan! That's beyond any limits! On top of that, Karimov voiced his other terms to meet the request. He insists on his own visit to London in 2015 and the one of David Cameron to Tashkent in 2013, on supplies of some most sophisticated British weaponry to Uzbekistan and so on and so forth..... He's thinking too much of himself definitely. And he is not being real just!
He's pursuing dictatorship line in his own country but this doesn't mean he can do the same in Europe or in his relationship with NATO. Relating possible ambassador position for his daughter Gulnara branded either "mafia princess" or "excessively sexy woman" or even "an alcohol addict(!)", it looks absolutely impossible. That's been just mockery of diplomatic service and humiliation of London!! BTW Gulnara's divorce with the American businessmen Mansur Maksudi resulted in sort of international scandal when she was actually banned from ever visiting USA or some other country having relevant agreements on legal assistance with the USA!
