Russian radio blames reshuffle on Putin criticism

Postby helenhews » Tue Feb 14, 2012 6:19 pm

A Russian radio station that airs opposition views Tuesday linked a reshuffle by its giant media holding owner to a public rebuke by Vladimir Putin ahead of Mar. 4 presidential elections.
Liberal Moscow Echo station hinted that Putin's comment prompted a decision by its chief shareholder Gazprom-Media, the state gas giant's media subsidiary, to remove two independent directors from the station's board.
“We understand that Gazprom-Media had no choice but to react to the criticism of the radio station by Russia's top leadership,” the station's journalists said in a statement.

The whole ridiculous liberal opposition should grow up & stop blaming everything on Putin. Their own incompetence, complete lack of anything resembling a comprehensive policy platform, their incessant infighting, the pandering after foreign NGO/oligarch cash handouts, all serve to make them a appalling joke & an embarrassment to the Russian people.
The incessant blaming of Putin personally causing all of their mishaps is just another sign of their deluded worldview - Putin has much bigger fish top fry than a bunch of irrelevant, spoiled brats.
Grow the hell up, or get out of the way so somebody competent can hopefully come up with creating a competent, responsible opposition that actually has a platform.
